Parish Centre Committee

This committee, which was formed in 2005, oversees the running of the Parish Centre.

The main objectives and responsibilities of the committee are to promote and encourage the use of the Parish Centre both by Parishioners and others. The committee encourages users to help maintain the Centre to the highest standards and to leave the centre in the same good condition as they find it.

The hall is hired out on a regular basis by all types of different groups and organisations. There are a full set of terms and conditions for groups who use or hire the Centre. Most groups are asked to make a donation or pay rent for use of the Centre. Other groups use the Centre in a voluntary role and are not ask to donate. The Centre has also been used for a Wedding, / Christenings / Birthday Parties and many Charity Events.

The hall is used by our local primary and secondary schools and provides an excellent venue for school plays and seminars.

All our parishioners are most welcome to use the Centre when they require it for an after funeral reception for an immediate family member who has recently been deceased.

The Centre can be booked through the Parish Office. The Parish Secretary (Jannette) will be happy to help with any query or booking that you may wish to make, please telephone 028 9447 2103 or email:

The Centre has a caretaker (currently Patrick O’Neill) to manage the day to day use of the Centre. He is responsible for setting the heating, opening the centre at the appropriate time and closing and securing it afterwards. Other duties are to set up the Centre, chairs tables etc for users and to carry out general cleaning duties.

If you are interested in more information about the Centre or would be interested in joining the committee please contact our Chairman Hugh Fitzgerald or the Parish Office where we will be delighted to hear from you.
