The Sacrament of Baptism is the first of the seven sacraments. Catholics usually receive it as infants. It is the first of the three Sacraments of Initiation into the Christian Life, the other two being the Sacrament of Confirmation and the Sacrament of Holy Communion. At Baptism a person is welcomed into the community of the Church. We are baptised into Christ: we share in his life, we become one with Christ in his death and resurrection, we are given the pledge of eternal life.
A Baptism Preparation Programme is held monthly inviting all Parents and Godparents to attend. The venue is the Parish Centre at 7.30pm. This is normally the last Tuesday of each month.
Baptisms are celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 11.15am.
Parents are asked to make advance contact with the Parish Secretary - 9447 2103.
